About The Position

This position is for an Information Technology Specialist (Network), GS-2210-12, within the Directorate of Engineering & Cyber at Tobyhanna Army Depot. The role involves performing a variety of complex software engineering, network engineering, integration, implementation, and support tasks for computer systems administration, network, and information management. The specialist will ensure system availability, functionality, integrity, and efficiency while resolving hardware/software interface and interoperability problems. This role also serves as a system tester, utilizing knowledge of network principles and diagnostic techniques to test, install, configure, integrate, and maintain systems. Additionally, the specialist will contribute to researching, developing, and engineering solutions for satellite communications requirements to meet mission goals, ensuring compliance with Department of Defense and Army guidelines.

Requirements

  • Secret Clearance
  • Valid State Driver's License
  • Information Assurance Certifications (within 6 months)
  • IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies: Attention to Detail, Customer Service, Oral Communication, and Problem Solving.
  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal Service which includes: Working on projects related to the design of small data networks and architectures to meet standard and unique requirements; Designing test plans for testing numerous networking functions, protocols, physical interfaces and products over large and small networks; Installing IT equipment, cabling and peripherals; and Working with agency officials and outside entities in order to solve IT architectural and design issues and system implementation issues.
  • Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
