About The Position

As our IT Network Engineer, you'll be responsible for developing, maintaining, and advancing Qualstar's network infrastructure while ensuring it supports the organization's business goals and technology needs. You'll work with the organization to understand business and technology needs, recommend strategic solutions, and ensure our network environment is secure, reliable, and aligned with our goals. This is a key role that works closely with the IT team to ensure seamless integration of networking solutions with Qualstar's other systems and technologies. You'll also have the opportunity to evaluate emerging networking technologies, participate in feasibility studies, and help lead the development and implementation of solutions that support Qualstar's continued growth. You'll also serve as a resource and technical mentor to other members of the IT team, sharing knowledge and helping strengthen the team's overall capabilities. Because we're a highly regulated financial institution, you'll be expected to work within established policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and professional standards. Requirements

Technical, strategic, and service-minded professional.
Ability to configure a switch and help shape a strategic network technology plan.
Broad knowledge base across the full technology stack, from hardware & telephony to next-gen firewalls.
Ownership and accountability for an entire network technology ecosystem.
Specific and recent hands-on expertise in most of our key technologies.
Ability to collaborate with others.
Ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with Symitar / Episys core banking system.
Experience with VMware ESXi.
Experience with Citrix VDI.
Experience with next-generation firewalls.
Experience with WAN technologies including MPLS, SD-WAN, and IPSec VPN.
Experience with VoIP / phone system technologies.
Experience with web-facing and mobile application delivery.
Experience with Microsoft technology stack.
Experience with multi-site WAN environments.
Experience with data center technologies.
