About The Position

As an Information Technology Generalist 1 with the Revenue Lottery Insurance and Banking and Securities Division, you take on meaningful work that helps keep Lottery technology stable for communities throughout the Commonwealth. As a senior technical administrator, you will be responsible for providing advanced IT services and support to several essential PA Lottery functions. Requirements

  • One year as an Information Technology Generalist 2, Applications Developer 2, Database Analyst, Information Security Specialist 1, or Network Specialist 2 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Five years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services; or Three years of information technology experience that includes two years of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or One year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, database maintenance or database development, data analysis and data model development, administration of information technology security programs, or other information technology support/administration services, and a bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Must meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Must be able to perform essential job functions.
  • This position will have access to Federal Tax Information (FTI) and is subject to the provisions of IRS Publication 1075 (Pub 1075) which requires you to pass an enhanced background check prior to beginning employment.
  • Under Pub 1075, acceptance of a conditional offer of employment will require submission to and approval of satisfactory criminal history reports, including but not limited to: a fingerprint-based federal records check; a PA State Police clearance; a check of local law enforcement agencies where you have lived, worked, and/or attended school within the last five (5) years; and a citizenship/residency verification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical assistance for multiple Lottery systems and environments
  • Configure, optimize, and maintain application servers across several platforms
  • Handle system incidents by assessing issues, coordinating with teams, and guiding resolution efforts
  • Collaborate with vendors and internal IT groups to maintain smooth system operations
  • Assist with firewall assessments, connectivity testing, and troubleshooting
  • Support user acceptance testing and guide others in developing effective test plans

  • Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time. You will be required to report in-office Tuesday and Wednesday. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania. If you are unable to telework, you will have the option to report to the headquarters office in Middletown. The ability to telework is subject to change at any time.
