About The Position

The Information Technology Generalist 1 position with the Technology Services Office (TSO), Health and Human Services Delivery Center gives you the chance to help strengthen secure access for important services across the Commonwealth. This role encourages clear thinking, careful analysis, and steady teamwork. You will support a mission that helps people every day by keeping vital systems safe and available. This position focuses on supporting secure and effective access to systems used throughout the Delivery Center. You will help maintain accuracy, resolve access issues, and support a wide range of system users.

Requirements

  • One year as an Information Technology Trainee or Information Technology Technician (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Three years of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or One year of information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, networking or desktop services, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process account requests to maintain secure and accurate system access
  • Assist users and troubleshoot access issues across multiple platforms and applications
  • Monitor systems and document activity to ensure alignment with security standards
  • Work with internal and external groups to resolve problems and improve processes
  • Identify ways to strengthen access procedures and support better service for users
