About The Position

The Globescape Administrator position offers a chance to support important statewide operations keeping essential information moving safely and reliably. You will support a mission critical system that ensures secure, reliable data exchange across the agency. The role is well suited for someone who values operational stability, attention to detail, and cross team collaboration. This position supports the Managed File Transfer environment through monitoring, maintenance, and workflow management. It ensures secure and dependable movement of data across systems and partners.

Requirements

  • One year as an Information Technology Generalist 1, Applications Developer 1, or Network Specialist 1; (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title, as determined by the Office of Administration); or Four years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services; or Two years of information technology experience that includes one year of technical information technology experience in applications development or applications maintenance, network operation or network maintenance, web site development or web site design, or other information technology support/administration services, and an associate’s degree in any information technology field; or A bachelor's degree in any information technology field; or An equivalent combination of experience and training.
  • Meet the PA residency requirement.
  • Be able to perform essential job functions.
  • Pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Track system activity and identify issues within the Managed File Transfer environment
  • Set up, test, and maintain workflows that support agency and vendor processes
  • Apply encryption and decryption tools to protect file transfers
  • Support SQL database operations including backups, maintenance, and object updates
  • Investigate and resolve technical problems using ITIL practices
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software related to file transfer and data scanning
