About The Position
Jovie is hiring experienced, engaging caregivers to provide in-home care for infants and toddlers with local families throughout Culver City. The role is offered as full-time or part-time, with daytime hours and flexible scheduling. Most shifts take place between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM and are typically 6–9 hours. Monday–Friday availability is preferred. Assignments vary according to family needs, caregiver availability, and scheduling preferences, and most involve infants and toddlers, with occasional opportunities to care for older children. Caregivers receive support from Jovie’s leadership team and are matched with vetted local families. Pay is $20–$22.25 per hour, with overtime pay. Pay dates are every two weeks. Eligible full-time team members may also receive PTO, paid holidays, healthcare stipends, and retirement savings matching. The hiring process includes application review, an interview, screening and reference checks, orientation, and training before matching caregivers with families.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of infant childcare experience; experience may come from nannying, babysitting, daycare, preschool, church nursery, or other childcare settings, but not from working with family and friends.
- Love working with infants.
- Be dependable and professional.
- Communicate well with parents and children.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
- Provide references: at least 2 related to childcare work and 1 character reference.
- Be at least 18 years old.
