About The Position

The Industrial Field Service Technician supports customers with Amada Turret Punch Press equipment and other fabricating machinery, including punch presses, shears, and automated material loading and unloading machines. Support includes equipment installation, service, operational, programming, software, and applications training, networking, and bending automation training. The technician manages equipment installations at customer sites and supports customers throughout machine ownership. The position requires routine travel within assigned territories, with occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control system, and network issues.
Ability to analyze and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, optical, and electrical systems.
Ability to use hand tools, a Volt/Ohm meter, and an oscilloscope.
Working knowledge of computers and Windows OS.
Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical drawings and follow equipment installation layouts and blueprints precisely.
Ability to communicate in English.
Excellent customer relations and follow-through skills; accountability for customer service and support throughout machine ownership.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds unassisted daily.
Ability to travel regularly within assigned territories.

Nice To Haves

Four-year degree in Electronics, or a minimum two-year degree with related work experience.
Ability to communicate in Spanish (Mexican).

Responsibilities

Install and service turret punch presses and other fabricating machines, including shears and automated material loading and unloading equipment.
Provide operational, programming, software, applications, networking, and bending automation training to customers.
Manage equipment installation processes at customer sites, including use of hand tools and physical activities such as climbing, bending, and stooping.
Troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, control system, and network issues.
Complete daily service reports and weekly expense reports.
Use Amada applications software for line control and part programming.
Maintain customer relations and follow through on service and support needs.
Travel routinely within assigned territories, with occasional overnight stays.
