About The Position

The Indirect Loan Officer is responsible for reviewing and underwriting indirect auto loan applications for Veridian indirect dealer partners and ensures decisions are compliant in following regulations and established Veridian policies and procedures. This position works closely with dealer partners to create and maintain strong dealer relationships.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • 3+ years experience in a financial institution or closely related field.
  • Strong presentation skills.
  • Knowledgeable of loan procedures and related legal requirements.
  • Oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Create excellent service experiences that promote the Veridian brand.
  • Review and underwrite applications received from business managers at auto dealerships.
  • Analyze all information pertinent to the granting of a loan, including the value of collateral being offered as security, and determine action, including approval, counteroffer, and disapproval.
  • Review dealer documentation and submit to a Dealer Finance Loan Processor for funding and tracking.
  • Work closely with funding team and dealer partners to obtain stipulations required to fund loans.
  • Responsible for creating, cultivating and maintaining relationships with all levels of Veridian auto dealer partner personnel.
  • Provides education to dealer partners on Veridian's indirect auto products and assists with the creation of strategies to meet indirect loan volume goals while maintaining quality/margin/efficiency standards.
  • Present and cross-sell products to business managers at auto dealerships.
  • Accountable for documenting and sharing various dealer communication efforts with Indirect Management in a timely manner.
  • Stay informed of dealer volume and delinquency information.
  • Consistently achieve the established monthly and annual targets for the position.
