About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, personalized load matching based on driver preferences, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates may be negotiated with dispatchers. Advertised Sprinter rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile for Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
Remove all decals from the vehicle.
Submit vehicle registration and insurance.
Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Responsibilities

Operate an owned Sprinter or Cargo Van as an owner-operator under an independent contractor agreement.
Accept loads only after the driver has been approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER.
Inform the company before putting a vehicle on the road if changes are made to it.
Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
