Independent Contractor: 16ft - 18ft Box Truck Owner/Operator
About The Position
Hackbarth Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking experienced independent contractors for final-mile delivery and installation services. Contractors must currently own or lease a 16-foot to 18-foot box truck and operate routes covering approximately 400–450 miles per day. The listed pay rate is $3,900–$4,400 per week. Routes run Sunday night through Friday night, starting at 10:00 p.m. and continuing until the route is finished. The posting also advertises a $1,000 sign-on bonus, with $500 paid at the first settlement and the remaining $500 after 90 days of continuous service. Owner-operators must carry the specified minimum auto liability coverage and meet the listed licensing, screening, physical, navigation, and language requirements.
Requirements
- Currently own or lease a 16-foot to 18-foot box truck.
- Have at least $100,000/$300,000/$100,000 in auto liability coverage for initial consideration.
- Hold a valid driver's license.
- Pass criminal background and drug screenings.
- Be able to lift packages weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Be available Monday through Friday.
- Be proficient with navigation devices.
- Be proficient in English.
Responsibilities
