About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is seeking Sprinter and cargo van owner-operators to work under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers a large number of loads, experienced dispatchers, negotiable rates, and loads personalized to drivers’ preferences. Listed rates are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for Sprinters on long miles in good areas, $0.85–$1.10 per mile on long miles in bad areas, and $1.25–$1.55 per mile in Canada. Payment is made within 3–5 business days; quick pay is available for a 3% fee. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or cargo van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and any drivers must be able to speak, understand, and read basic English.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
Sprinter vehicles must be no older than 2016.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a load.

Nice To Haves

Russian-language ability; the company also hires Russian speakers.
Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC credentials may affect potential monthly earnings.

Responsibilities

Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
Provide a personally owned Sprinter or cargo van and submit its registration and insurance.
Notify the company before putting a modified vehicle on the road.
Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting company loads.
Carry at least four straps and personal protective equipment (PPE) in the vehicle.
Remove all vehicle decals.
