About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company does not hire company drivers. Owner-operators can discuss rates with dispatchers and receive personalized load offers based on their preferences. The posting describes a large number of available loads and dispatchers with at least four years of experience and broker contacts. Advertised rates for Sprinters are $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas. Canada rates for Sprinters are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The posting lists a minimum average monthly salary of $8,000 or more, depending on the vehicle, willingness to work, payload, and whether the driver has a Hazmat certificate or TSA/TWIC credentials.

Requirements

Own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or holder of work authorization.
The owner-operator and drivers must be at least 21 years old.
The owner-operator and drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English; Russian speakers are also hired.
Have at least 6 months of driving experience.
A Sprinter must be model year 2016 or newer.
Vehicles must have at least 4 straps and PPE.
Remove all vehicle decals.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
All drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting loads.

Responsibilities

Operate as an owner-operator under a written independent contractor agreement.
Provide and operate an eligible Sprinter or Cargo Van.
Tell the company what kinds of loads are preferred so dispatchers can offer personalized loads.
Ensure all drivers are approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
Inform the company of vehicle changes before putting the vehicle on the road.
Provide vehicle registration and insurance.
