About The Position

VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER is hiring Sprinter and Cargo Van owner-operators under a written independent contractor agreement. The company offers access to a large number of loads, personalized load selection based on driver preferences, and dispatchers with more than four years of experience and broker contacts. Rates are described as competitive and negotiable with dispatchers. Sprinter rates are listed as $0.85–$1.35 per mile for long miles in good areas and $0.85–$1.10 per mile for long miles in bad areas; Canada Sprinter rates are $1.25–$1.55 per mile. Payment is made within 3–5 business days, with a 3% quick-pay option. The stated operating days are Monday through Friday. The company does not hire company drivers; applicants apply as owner-operators.

Requirements

• Must own a Sprinter or Cargo Van.
• Must be a U.S. citizen, resident, green card holder, or work authorization holder.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must be at least 21 years old.
• The owner-operator and their drivers must speak, understand, and read basic English.
• Drivers must be approved, accepted, and registered with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting a company load.
• Must have at least 6 months of driving experience.
• Sprinter vehicles must be model year 2016 or newer.
• Vehicles must have at least four straps and PPE.
• All decals must be removed.
• Must provide vehicle registration and insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Russian language skills are accommodated; the company also hires Russian speakers.
• Hazmat certificate and TSA/TWIC may affect earning potential.

Responsibilities

• Provide and operate an eligible Sprinter or Cargo Van as an owner-operator.
• Complete registration and approval with VICTORIA LOGISTICS CARRIER before accepting loads.
• Provide the vehicle’s registration and insurance.
• Inform the company before putting the vehicle on the road if making changes to it.
• Coordinate load preferences with dispatchers and accept loads suited to those preferences.
