About The Position

Sandvik Mining & Rock Technology is seeking a hands-on, results-driven Inbound Supervisor for its warehouse in Romeoville, Illinois. The supervisor leads a team of inbound warehouse employees and drivers, ensuring items are prepared, shipped, and received on time in compliance with company policies and quality and safety standards. The role partners with management to foster a collaborative, customer-focused team environment and serves as a liaison between workers and management, reporting on shipping activities and issues.

Requirements

Previous experience supervising in a warehouse.
Highly developed customer relations, time management, and organizational skills.
Leadership capabilities, initiative, drive, and determination.
Well-developed interpersonal skills and the ability to develop and motivate staff.
Sound Microsoft Office skills.
A forklift truck and order-picking forklift truck license is essential.

Nice To Haves

Prior exposure to ERP, warehouse, transport, and EHS management systems.
Education in a warehouse or supply chain discipline.
Knowledge of the mining industry.

Responsibilities

Oversee compliance related to people and equipment, including daily inspections of operational equipment.
Participate in continuous improvement projects.
Ensure operational reporting is completed and made available through applicable Sandvik systems.
Ensure shipping and export documentation for orders is processed accurately and methodically.
Report discrepancies involving stock, safety, and other operational anomalies.
Comply with Sandvik EHS policies and reasonable instructions, procedures, and work systems intended to provide safe workplaces and eliminate environmental harm.
Supervise the Outbound team and set a positive example while providing employees with direction and guidance.
Lead team meetings and provide on-the-job training and career development to team members.
