About The Position

Fullbay is an AI-first company serving the heavy-duty repair industry with technology intended to help repair shops operate more safely, efficiently, and intelligently. The Inbound & SMB Outbound Business Development Representative is often the first point of contact between Fullbay and heavy-duty repair shops. The representative responds quickly to inbound interest and proactively contacts small shops that have not yet engaged with Fullbay, learning about their needs, qualifying opportunities, and booking demonstrations for Account Executives. This role joins an established team that is rebuilding its BDR organization and workflows as AI-first. It suits a quick, coachable, resilient, and goal-oriented person who is comfortable initiating phone conversations, handling repetitive work at a high pace, learning from call and email performance, and improving team processes. The company values candidates’ accomplishments and how they achieved them rather than a particular background or degree. Strong performers may have the opportunity to grow into larger accounts on the team.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year in a customer-facing role with measurable goals; examples include sales, customer service, retail, cellular sales, call center, hospitality, education, military, recruiting, or skilled trades.
  • Comfort holding unscripted phone conversations with people not previously met, initiating conversations with strangers, handling objections, and remaining composed when conversations do not go as planned.
  • A track record of measurable performance that can be described with numbers, such as targets, rankings, customer scores, or other goals met or exceeded.
  • Grit and a history of persisting through setbacks toward difficult goals without needing others to push.
  • A history of being coachable and self-directed in improving performance, including seeking feedback and acting on it.
  • Strong verbal communication, particularly by phone; ability to be friendly, persuasive, composed, and adaptable in real time.
  • Curiosity, thoughtful questioning, close listening, and ability to learn and apply a structured qualification framework.
  • Resilience and composure under pressure and rejection, using negative responses as information and continuing with an improved approach.
  • Ability to use metrics for self-coaching and act quickly on feedback.
  • Strong organization and time management, with the ability to work independently, prioritize, and maintain timely follow-up in a fast-paced environment.
  • Comfort with numbers and ability to learn new technology quickly.
  • Working knowledge of MS Office and web-based tools, and comfort with online meeting and web-conferencing software.
  • Openness to changing existing practices and adopting AI-first ways of working.
  • Self-starter with a positive attitude, confidence, ownership mindset, and drive to excel.
  • Collaborative team player able to manage multiple priorities and contribute to the performance of others.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in inbound or outbound sales development; it is a plus but not required.
  • Clear written communication by email.
  • Experience with CRMs and sales engagement tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft, Chili Piper, or similar, including following cadences and logging activity.
  • Familiarity with heavy-duty repair, trucking, or skilled trades industries.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to inbound leads within minutes by phone and email.
  • Cold call, email, and use social prospecting to contact small heavy-duty repair shops and book qualified meetings and demonstrations for Account Executives.
  • Speak with shop owners and managers, ask discovery questions, and schedule qualified demonstrations.
  • Apply qualification criteria and hand off sales-ready opportunities to Account Executives with complete, useful context.
  • Follow up with unresponsive leads using multi-touch cadences until they respond.
  • Research accounts and tailor outreach to each shop’s business.
  • Log activities and keep Salesforce lead and account records accurate and up to date.
  • Meet response-time, activity, meeting, and SQL goals while maintaining high-quality qualification.
  • Test and improve responses, talk tracks, openers, and objection handling; use AI-first workflows, retire ineffective practices, and share successful approaches with the team.
  • Share prospect feedback with sales and marketing to improve lead quality and messaging.
  • Review call recordings and performance metrics, act on coaching, and continually improve.
  • Handle inbound and cold calls, manage objections, and keep prospects engaged to earn meetings.
  • Adhere to confidentiality and compliance regulations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
