About The Position

The San Diego Unified School District is seeking educators who are deeply committed to students and their communities for the position of In-School Resource Teacher. This role is specifically for current San Diego Unified Permanent and Probationary Teachers and will be assigned to Lincoln High School. Requirements

  • Valid California Single Subject Teaching Credential in English, Social Studies, or Math by the closing date of the application deadline.

Responsibilities

  • Provide standards-based instruction in a virtual environment using digital platforms.
  • Deliver engaging lessons aligned to California curriculum standards.
  • Design synchronous and asynchronous learning experiences.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs.
  • Monitor academic progress through ongoing assessment.
  • Communicate regularly with students, families, and staff to support student success and engagement.
  • Maintain an organized online classroom.
  • Integrate technology effectively.
  • Foster an inclusive learning environment.
  • Run a fully virtual classroom setting using district-approved platforms.
  • May include occasional on-site meetings, trainings, or professional development within the district.
  • Work closely with instructional coaches and site administrators.
  • Collaborate with special education, English learner (EL), and counseling staff to support student needs.
  • Partner with families/guardians to support student success.
  • Monitor attendance, participation, and engagement.
  • Provide feedback on student work and maintain gradebooks.
  • Communicate with students and families via email, phone, or virtual platforms.
  • Participate in team meetings, PLCs, and professional collaboration.
  • Attend professional development and compliance trainings.
  • Contribute to curriculum development and program improvement.
