About The Position

The In-Room Dining Order Taker joins the Food and Beverage Team at Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort & Club. This role creates memorable guest experiences by answering room-service calls and requests, accurately recording food and beverage orders in the point-of-sale system, learning menu items and promotions, and suggesting additional offerings. The position also processes payments, reconciles checks, verifies totals and gratuity disbursement, and handles cash according to accounting guidelines. This is a full-time role with various shifts; availability to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays is required. The pay rate is $18.90 per hour, based on applicable and specialized experience and location. Eligible new hires receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus after six months of continuous employment, subject to the offer's eligibility terms.

Responsibilities

Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make each guest's experience special.
Answer room-service telephone calls promptly and respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
Capture food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system.
Learn menu items, promotions, and specials to answer guest questions confidently.
Suggest and promote food and beverage items, including sides, desserts, drinks, and special promotions.
Reconcile checks, verify check totals and gratuity disbursement, and handle cash according to accounting guidelines.
