About The Position

Waldorf Astoria Monarch Beach Resort is hiring a part-time In Room Dining Order Taker for its Food & Beverage team. The role focuses on creating memorable guest experiences by responding to room-service calls and requests, taking and accurately entering food and beverage orders, learning menu items and promotions, suggesting offerings, and processing payments. The position pays $18.90 per hour, based on applicable and specialized experience and location. The role has various shifts and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays. Eligible new hires receive a $1,000 sign-on bonus after six months of continuous employment, subject to the stated eligibility conditions.

Responsibilities

Bring an upbeat, friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make the guest experience special.
Answer Room Service telephones and guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
Capture food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system.
Learn menu items, promotions, and specials to assist guests and answer questions.
Suggest and promote food and beverage items, including sides, desserts, drinks, and special promotions.
Reconcile checks, verify check totals and gratuity disbursement, and handle cash according to accounting guidelines.
