About The Position

Waldorf Astoria Chicago is seeking an In-Room Dining Coordinator to support its in-room dining service. The role involves welcoming guests through friendly, attentive service; answering room-service calls and requests; accurately entering food and beverage orders into the point-of-sale system; learning menu items, promotions, and specials; recommending additional offerings; and processing payments in line with accounting guidelines. The position calls for a hospitable, detail-oriented team member who demonstrates integrity, teamwork, ownership, leadership, and a sense of urgency.

Responsibilities

• Bring an upbeat and friendly attitude to guest interactions and proactively look for ways to make guests’ experiences special.
• Answer room-service telephone calls and guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
• Capture food and beverage orders and enter them accurately into the point-of-sale system.
• Learn menu items, promotions, and specials to assist guests and answer questions.
• Suggest and promote food and beverage offerings, including sides, desserts, drinks, and special promotions.
• Reconcile checks, verify totals and gratuity disbursement, and handle cash according to accounting guidelines.
