About The Position

Waldorf Astoria Chicago is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join its Front Office team in the Gold Coast neighborhood of Chicago. The hotel is a luxury, AAA-Five-Diamond and Forbes 4-Star property with 215 rooms, more than 5,000 square feet of meeting space, and four food and beverage outlets.

The Guest Service Agent welcomes guests and supports a seamless stay by handling check-in and check-out, answering questions about the hotel and local area, promoting hotel services, and responding to guest requests and concerns. The role requires availability for various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and relief overnight shifts.

Requirements

Responsibilities

• Greet arriving guests and complete check-in, including verifying details, assigning rooms, issuing keys, and providing welcome materials or bell service assistance.
• Process guest departures by verifying charges, handling payments, issuing receipts, and using the point-of-sale system accurately.
• Provide information about hotel offerings, room types, rates, promotions, and the local area.
• Use up-selling techniques to recommend hotel amenities and maximize room and service revenue.
• Respond to guest requests, resolve concerns with care and urgency, and manage messages and communications effectively.
