About The Position

This position performs food service duties related to serving hot and cold foods to patients, staff, visitors, and other customers. It serves attractive and nutritious food to patients while following proper food-safety practices and established department quality standards. The role delivers meal trays directly to patients, verifying accuracy and protecting confidentiality. Duties also include assembling patient trays on the room-service line, sanitizing equipment and small wares, stocking assigned areas, washing dishes, and maintaining overall department sanitation. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Demonstrate good communication, interpersonal, and customer-service skills to interact courteously with patients, visitors, and staff.
Ensure accuracy and timeliness of tray assembly and delivery.
Have strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask.

Nice To Haves

A minimum of one year of food-service experience in a healthcare setting.
High school diploma or equivalent.
