About The Position

The Cook performs duties related to producing hot and cold food items for hospital patients, staff, and visitors, as well as special functions and baking. The role monitors the quality of food produced and works closely with hot and cold food production teams to provide high-quality products daily. The Cook follows standardized recipes and production sheets and ensures food is prepared according to established sanitation and food safety standards. The position maintains quality standards for cooking methods, procedures, therapeutic diet restrictions, presentation, and portion control.

Requirements

At least 1 year of food service cooking experience, or a combination of food service experience and a Culinary Degree.
Ability to read and write to understand equipment operating instructions and IFUs and complete required documentation.
Basic arithmetic skills to count instruments and complete count sheets.
Basic computer, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

Line cook experience with hot food preparation.
Culinary Arts degree.
ServSafe certification.
