About The Position

The Food Services Attendant assists with preparing and distributing quality meals for residents, patients, and customers. The role performs cashier duties and helps with stocking, meal delivery, dishwashing, and cleaning, while following established policies and procedures. The position is based at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin, and is part-time at 0.6 FTE (48 hours per pay period), with varied day and evening shifts and every other weekend and holiday.

Requirements

Knowledge of food preparation standards and practices, including safe and sanitary food handling, within the designated training/trial period.
Reading, verbal, and written communication skills sufficient to understand and perform job duties accurately and within the allotted time.
Dependability and ability to adjust work hours to meet departmental demands.
Maintain a pleasant, service-oriented attitude toward patients, residents, the community, and employees.

Nice To Haves

Food-handling training is beneficial.
Previous food services experience is beneficial.
