About The Position

The Food Services Attendant assists with preparing and distributing quality meals for residents, patients, and customers. The role also performs cashier duties and helps with stocking, meal delivery, dishwashing, and cleaning procedures. The attendant follows established policies and procedures. This position is with Food and Nutrition Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital in Wausau, Wisconsin, and is listed as supplemental or 0.2 FTE (16 hours per pay period), with varied day/evening shifts and every-other-weekend and holiday work.

Requirements

• Demonstrate knowledge of food preparation standards and safe, sanitary food-handling practices within the designated training/trial period.
• Have reading, verbal, and written communication skills sufficient to understand and perform job duties accurately and within the allotted time.
• Be dependable and adjust work hours to meet department demands.

• Food-handling training is beneficial.
• Previous food-services experience is beneficial.
