About The Position

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Washington Township and is looking to hire 5 tutors to assist high school students in Math during regular school hours. Tutors will work with students in grades 9-12, actively supervising them to help them catch up from learning gaps. This role requires comfort with an in-person background check and is ideal for individuals passionate about a career in education, seeking consistent tutoring hours, or wanting to support students in their community.

Requirements

• Must have completed 60 college credits
• Tutoring experience with grades 6-12
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us)
• COVID-19 Vaccination

Responsibilities

• Working with groups of students without the support of a teacher or school site staff
• Prepare area to start tutoring session
• May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school site
• Take attendance and run lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard
• Document student progress with HeyTutor Dashboard
• Facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by manager
• Leading a group of students in the tutoring session, using curriculum and materials provided by the program
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
• Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts
• Any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager and/or the School Site
