About The Position

HeyTutor has partnered with a school district in Victorville to hire tutors who can assist high school students during after-school hours. The role involves supporting students in grades 9-12 and actively supervising them to help them catch up from learning gaps. Tutors must be comfortable passing an in-person background check. Requirements

• Must have completed an AA or higher, or be currently enrolled in college/ university
• Tutoring experience (great at working with kids)
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Clear FBI-DOJ background check (provided through us)
• Clear TB Test

Responsibilities

• Working with groups of students without the support of a teacher or school site staff
• Prepare area to start tutoring session
• May be responsible for picking up and dropping off students from designated areas in school site
• Take attendance and run lessons through HeyTutor Dashboard (if applicable)
• Document student progress with HeyTutor Dashboard
• Facilitate students taking and completing baseline and summative assessments when requested by manager
• Leading a group of students in the tutoring session, using curriculum and materials provided by the program
• Creating an engaging environment that fosters a sense of belonging that kids want to be in
• Supporting students in making positive behavior choices
• Engage and interact with tutoring lessons alongside the students
• Daily clocking in and out of Deputy for shifts
• Any other duties that may be required by the Company, your manager and/or the School Site
