About The Position

Visiting Angels of Webster Groves is hiring In Home Personal Aides to serve clients in Chesterfield, Webster Groves, Maryland Heights, Eureka, Fenton, Ellisville, Ballwin, and other local areas. Aides help enrich clients’ quality of life and support their wellness in accordance with custom care plans. The role includes personal care, companionship, household assistance, mobility support, and help with errands and appointments. Advanced training opportunities are available in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• First Aid and emergency response training; training is provided if needed.
• Excellent time-management skills and ability to manage multiple duties at once.
• Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
• Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
• Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following applicable dietary constraints.
• Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
• Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten clients’ days.

Nice To Haves

• Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.

Responsibilities

• Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
• Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
• Plan and prepare meals with clients while adhering to dietary constraints.
• Handle light housekeeping duties.
• Report health changes or unusual incidents.
• Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
• Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
• Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
• Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
• Assist clients with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
• Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle.
