In Home Housekeeper or Caregiver
About The Position
Visiting Angels of San Angelo is hiring caregivers to serve clients throughout the Concho Valley area, including San Angelo and surrounding communities. The role supports clients’ quality of life and wellness in accordance with their custom care plans. Caregivers may assist with personal care and hygiene, exercise and walks, meal planning and preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, medication reminders, mobility, errands, and responding to emergencies. They also report health changes or unusual incidents and accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips. Advanced training opportunities are available in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to juggle multiple duties.
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
- Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following applicable dietary constraints.
- Willingness and ability to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, such as a background check.
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

- Interest in broadening caregiving skills through advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.
Responsibilities
