About The Position
Visiting Angels of Carmel is hiring In Home Housekeepers or Caregivers to serve clients throughout Hamilton County, including Zionsville, Indianapolis, Carmel, Noblesville, Westville, and Fishers. Caregivers support clients’ wellness and quality of life in accordance with their custom care plans. The role offers flexible schedules, competitive wages, and growth opportunities. Advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care is available to caregivers who want to broaden their skills.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Valid driver’s license, car insurance, and a reliable personal vehicle for transporting clients.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Training in First Aid and emergency response; training is provided if needed.
- Excellent time-management skills and ability to handle multiple duties.
- Reliable transportation to and from client homes at scheduled times.
- Physical endurance for tasks such as carrying groceries and physically supporting a client.
- Comfort performing housekeeping and cooking duties while following applicable dietary constraints.
- Ability and willingness to comply with state and office-specific health and safety standards, including a background check.
- Compassion, understanding, and a desire to brighten each client’s day.

- Interest in advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care.
Responsibilities
- Help clients with personal care and hygiene.
- Assist clients with light physical exercise or walks.
- Plan and prepare meals with clients.
- Handle light housekeeping duties.
- Report health changes or unusual incidents.
- Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
- Respond quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
- Accompany and supervise clients during shopping trips.
- Remind clients to take prescription medications appropriately.
- Assist with mobility and ambulation at home and during appointments or errands.
- Transport clients using a reliable personal vehicle.
