About The Position

Visiting Angels Paris is seeking compassionate caregivers to support senior adults and others in need in Paris and surrounding communities, including Greenville and Texarkana. The role combines companionship and personal care with practical support such as light housekeeping, meal preparation, mobility assistance, and transportation. The position offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. Full-time, part-time, and PRN shifts are offered.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and being a caregiver.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong ethics.
Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home and outside, including for appointments and walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant, supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
