About The Position

Visiting Angels Kansas City is seeking compassionate In Home Caregivers - Housekeepers to support senior adults and others in need throughout the Kansas City Metro area. The role provides companionship and in-home assistance, including light housekeeping, meal preparation, personal care, mobility support, and transportation. The employer offers opportunities for advanced training in areas such as dementia care and Alzheimer’s care. Shift options listed include full-time, part-time, PRN, short shifts, and 8-, 10-, or 12-hour shifts.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and being a caregiver.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.
Respectful and compassionate demeanor.
Good time management skills.
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills.

Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility in and around the home, including accompanying them to appointments or walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them when they shop.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
