About The Position

Visiting Angels’ Bettendorf office is hiring In Home Caregivers - Housekeepers to serve seniors and others in need throughout the Quad Cities area, including Davenport, Bettendorf, and Muscatine. The role provides compassionate in-home support and companionship, helping clients with daily activities such as personal care, mobility, meal preparation, transportation, and light housekeeping. Caregivers may also have opportunities for advanced training in dementia care or Alzheimer’s care. Pay is $14.00–$16.00 per hour. Shift options include full-time, part-time, PRN, 8-hour shifts, 12-hour shifts, and short shifts. A valid driver’s license is required.

Requirements

Passion for serving others and a genuine caregiver orientation.
Excellent knowledge of emergency response and first aid.
Knowledge of housekeeping activities and cooking, with attention to dietary constraints.
Willingness to adhere to health and safety standards.

Good time-management skills.

Physical endurance.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

Help clients take prescribed medication.
Assist clients with ambulation and mobility at home or outside, including attending doctor’s appointments and going for walks.
Assist clients with personal care and hygiene.
Help clients with routine exercises.
Plan and prepare meals with clients’ assistance when they are able.
Do clients’ shopping or accompany them while shopping.
Perform light housekeeping duties clients cannot complete on their own.
Provide pleasant and supportive companionship.
Report unusual incidents.
Act quickly and responsibly in emergencies.
