About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is seeking compassionate In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families in Bellevue and Kirkland, Washington. This role offers a unique practice environment outside the traditional clinic, emphasizing professional autonomy, meaningful relationships with pet families, and the time to practice veterinary medicine with intention. Unlike traditional clinics, there are no waiting rooms, double-booked appointments, or corporate production dashboards. Veterinarians will focus on providing in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services, guiding families through one of the most difficult moments of pet ownership in the comfort and privacy of their homes. Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led practice that does not utilize veterinarian non-compete agreements, believing that veterinary professionals should be free to build their careers on their own terms. The ideal candidate is empathetic, skilled in difficult conversations, and experienced in providing compassionate end-of-life care. This role is suitable for general practice and emergency veterinarians seeking a less demanding pace, as well as those returning to clinical practice or seeking flexible scheduling. The position emphasizes a meaningful career path that balances professional practice with a fulfilling life outside of work.
