About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring a veterinarian to provide in-home hospice and euthanasia care in Toledo, Bowling Green, and surrounding areas in Ohio, as well as Adrian, Monroe, Bedford, and surrounding areas in Michigan. The privately and family-owned organization emphasizes professional independence, compassionate end-of-life medicine, and support from a team that coordinates appointments, families, and aftercare. Hospice experience is not required; support is provided during the transition into this field. The position is offered in full-time and part-time schedules, with 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day options, including self-managed flexible scheduling. Compensation is prorated for agreed-upon schedules. Four-day positions start at $90,000 annually, and five-day positions offer a $105,000 annual base salary, with additional quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities. Benefits vary by position and eligibility.

Requirements

DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
Valid driver's license.
Compassionate approach and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.
