About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring a veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home hospice and peaceful euthanasia care in the Toledo, Bowling Green, Adrian, Monroe, Bedford, and surrounding areas. The family-owned organization emphasizes professional independence, meaningful appointments, and care that gives families time and support during end-of-life decisions. A dedicated support team helps coordinate appointments, families, and aftercare. The role offers full-time and part-time opportunities with 2-, 3-, 4-, or 5-day schedules, including self-managed flexible scheduling options with prorated compensation. Four-day positions start at $90,000 annually, and five-day positions have a $105,000 annual base salary; additional quarterly performance-based bonuses are available. Requirements

DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
Valid driver's license.
Compassionate approach and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.
