About The Position
Heartstrings Pet Hospice is a privately and family-owned veterinary organization providing in-home hospice and peaceful euthanasia care. Veterinarians practice with professional autonomy and receive support coordinating appointments, families, and aftercare. The role offers flexible 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedules, including full-time and part-time opportunities, in the Toledo, Bowling Green, Adrian, Monroe, Bedford, and surrounding areas. Hospice experience is not required; support is provided to help veterinarians transition into this field. Compensation includes prorated pay for two-, three-day, and self-managed flexible schedules. Four-day positions start at $90,000 annually, and five-day positions offer a $105,000 annual base salary, with additional quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities. Benefits vary by position and eligibility.
Requirements
- DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
- Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
- Valid driver's license.
- Compassion and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
- Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.
