About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring a veterinarian to provide compassionate in-home hospice and euthanasia care in the Toledo, Bowling Green, Adrian, Monroe, Bedford, and surrounding areas. The privately and family-owned organization emphasizes professional independence, meaningful medicine, respect for veterinarians, and a supportive team that coordinates appointments, families, and aftercare. Hospice experience is not required; support is provided as veterinarians transition into this field. The role offers full-time and part-time schedule options, including 2-, 3-, 4-, and 5-day schedules and self-managed flexible scheduling. Compensation is prorated for agreed schedules; 4-day positions start at $90,000 annually, and 5-day positions offer a $105,000 annual base salary, with additional quarterly performance-based bonus opportunities. Requirements

DVM, VMD, or equivalent veterinary degree.
Active North Carolina veterinary license or eligibility.
Valid driver's license.
Compassion and commitment to exceptional end-of-life care.
Availability consistent with the position's schedule, including some weekends.
