About The Position

Heartstrings Pet Hospice is hiring In-Home Hospice and Euthanasia Veterinarians to serve pet families across Baltimore, West Baltimore, Glen Burnie, Dundalk, Hampden & Bethesda - Maryland. This role offers a unique practice environment with no waiting room, no double-booked appointments, and no corporate production dashboard, allowing veterinarians the time to provide compassionate end-of-life care. The practice is privately held, family-owned, and doctor-led, and importantly, does not utilize non-compete contracts, ensuring veterinarians have career freedom. This position is ideal for experienced veterinarians seeking to move away from the fast pace of general or emergency practice, or for those returning to work or building a schedule around family life.

Requirements

  • DVM/VMD/BVMS degree
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Ability to work independently in a mobile environment
  • Weekend availability (rotational)
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs unassisted
  • Exude compassion, dignity, and respect to all
  • Professional communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Provide in-home hospice and euthanasia services for pets.
  • Manage difficult conversations with compassion, dignity, and respect.
  • Work independently in a mobile veterinary environment.
  • Communicate professionally with the team and pet families.
