In-Home Caregiver - Buena Vista
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide compassionate in-home personal care. Caregivers support clients in the comfort of their own homes. Day and evening cases are available, including shifts from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m., 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., and 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. Full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are offered, with flexible availability that may include weekdays, weekends, and overnights. PCA training is offered for interested applicants who are not certified. Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver's license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as moving from a bed to a wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients' health or behavior.
