About The Position

Texmed Personal Care is seeking compassionate individuals to provide non-skilled care for clients in their homes. Caregivers provide services based on each client’s needs and follow the individualized service plan agreed upon by the agency and client. Services may include grooming, medication reminders, light housework, cooking, bathing assistance, and transportation assistance. The role also involves documenting care, communicating with the agency team, and reporting changes in a client’s condition or home situation to the immediate supervisor.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED graduate.
At least 1 year of caregiving experience.
Valid driver’s license.
Ability to reliably commute to Killeen, Texas, or planning to relocate before starting work.
Ability to pass a criminal background check.
Ability to read and write consistent with job requirements.
Ability to lift, turn, and transfer clients weighing up to 200 pounds.
Ability to lift and carry items up to 10 pounds.
Reliable transportation to and from clients’ residences.
Working smartphone.

Responsibilities

Follow the individualized service plan agreed upon by the agency and client.
Develop and maintain excellent rapport with clients and co-workers.
Perform client services according to the individualized service plan.
Help clients maintain good personal hygiene.
Assist in maintaining a healthy, safe environment.
Coordinate and prepare nutritious meals for clients.
Engage with clients positively in ways that enrich them.
Establish a relationship with clients and families that conveys trust and confidentiality.
Document client care and duties according to the service plan and agency protocol.
Communicate effectively with the agency team.
Report changes in a client’s mental or physical condition or home situation to the immediate supervisor.
