In-Home Caregiver (Immediate Hire)
About The Position
Happy to Help Caregiving is seeking compassionate, dependable, professional caregivers to provide high-quality, person-centered care in private residences. This role involves providing companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, mobility assistance, transportation for clients, respite care, and documentation of care activities. The caregiver will ensure a safe, respectful, and positive experience for every client by being punctual, following care plan instructions, maintaining professional boundaries, and treating client homes with respect.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Photo ID and reliable transportation required
- Must be able to pass a criminal background check
- Kind, patient, trustworthy, and respectful demeanor
- Ability to follow written care plans and verbal instructions accurately
- Comfortable assisting with personal care tasks and physical mobility support
- Strong communication skills — able to interact professionally with clients, families, and office staff
- Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential
Nice To Haves
- Prior caregiving experience is a plus, but not required — what matters most is your character, your work ethic, and your willingness to learn
Responsibilities
- Providing meaningful conversation and emotional support (Companionship)
- Assisting with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and general hygiene (Personal Care)
- Preparing food according to dietary needs and assisting with feeding if required (Meal Preparation)
- Managing laundry, dishes, trash, and general tidying up (Light Housekeeping)
- Prompting clients to take scheduled medications (Medication Reminders)
- Aiding with safe transfers, repositioning, and using mobility equipment (Mobility Assistance)
- Driving the client to medical appointments, errands, and approved outings (Transportation)
- Giving family caregivers a reliable, well-deserved break (Respite Care)
- Logging shift activities and communicating any changes in the client's condition (Documentation)
- Showing up on time, following care plan instructions, maintaining professional boundaries, and treating every home with care and respect.
