About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring CNAs, Nursing Assistants, and Personal Care Aides to provide compassionate in-home personal care to clients in Southampton, Virginia. The work is performed in clients’ homes. Available shifts are 9 a.m.–2 p.m., 8 a.m.–3 p.m., and 10 a.m.–5 p.m., seven days a week. Full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules are advertised, with flexible scheduling that may include weekdays, weekends, and overnights. The posting says weekly pay is available for up to 40 hours per week and that full-time employees are eligible for benefits. PCA training is offered for interested uncertified applicants, and ongoing training and PPE are provided.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for people interested in becoming a PCA.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as transfers from bed to wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
