About The Position
AmeriCare Plus is hiring Certified Nursing Assistants (CNA), Nursing Assistants (NA), and Personal Care Aides (PCA) to provide in-home personal care to clients in Fincastle, Virginia. The role offers full-time, part-time, and PRN schedules, with cases available immediately. A listed schedule is three 12-hour shifts from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., with every other weekend required. Other schedule options include weekdays, weekends, and overnights, depending on availability. Weekly pay is offered for up to 40 hours per week. The company provides PPE and ongoing training; online training is available for those interested in PCA work, and a PCA class is offered for uncertified applicants. Full-time PCAs may be eligible for benefits.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA work.
- Reliable transportation.
- Valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card.
- Two professional references.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable demeanor.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support client mobility and transfers, such as transfers between a bed and wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals and assist with feeding.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ health or behavior.
