About The Position

AmeriCare Plus, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide in-home personal care to a client in Waynesboro, Virginia. The client needs assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). The position offers six-hour shifts Monday through Friday, with additional hours available for caregivers willing to travel. The posting notes immediate cases and a need for nights and weekends in Waynesboro and surrounding areas, though the listed schedule is Monday through Friday.

Applicants may be CNAs, NAs, or PCAs. The company offers online training for people interested in PCA certification. Caregivers assist with personal care, mobility, meals, medication reminders, companionship, and light housekeeping, and monitor and report changes in the client’s health or behavior. Requirements

• CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA certification.
• Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver's license.
• Social Security card and two professional references.
• Pass a background check according to state and federal requirements.
• Be compassionate, patient, and dependable.
• Maintain a respectful and professional demeanor.

Responsibilities

• Assist the client with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
• Support mobility and transfers, such as transferring from a bed to a wheelchair.
• Prepare light meals.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Offer companionship and emotional support.
• Perform light housekeeping duties.
• Monitor and report changes in the client’s health or behavior.
