In-Home Caregiver – Waynesboro, VA
About The Position
AmeriCare Plus, LLC is seeking a compassionate and dependable caregiver to provide in-home personal care to a client in Waynesboro, Virginia, who needs assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs). The role involves meaningful, one-on-one care for an elderly client. The posting lists six-hour shifts Monday through Friday and notes that nights and weekends are needed, with additional hours available for caregivers willing to travel. PCA certification training is provided online for those interested in obtaining it.
Requirements
- CNA, NA, or PCA certification; online training is provided for those interested in PCA certification.
- Reliable transportation and a valid Virginia driver’s license.
- Social Security card and two professional references.
- Must pass a background check in accordance with state and federal requirements.
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable.
- Respectful and professional demeanor.

- Experience with or appreciation for veterans.
Responsibilities
- Assist the client with personal hygiene, grooming, and bathing.
- Support mobility and transfers, such as moving from bed to wheelchair.
- Prepare light meals.
- Provide medication reminders.
- Offer companionship and emotional support.
- Perform light housekeeping duties.
- Monitor and report changes in the client’s health or behavior.
