About The Position

Assisting Hands Home Care is seeking compassionate, reliable part-time caregivers for evening, overnight, and sleep shifts supporting seniors and individuals with disabilities in Topeka, Lawrence, and surrounding communities. The role provides essential, non-medical in-home assistance to help clients maintain independence and quality of life. Shifts are available Sunday through Saturday, including evening shifts from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, overnight shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM, and sleep shifts from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM. Pay is $15–$17 per hour for active shifts, depending on experience, and $10 per hour for sleep shifts. The position is part-time, with potential for additional hours or full-time hours depending on client needs; full-time hours are not guaranteed. Training is provided, and the employer offers paid travel time between client shifts, on-demand pay, and opportunities for career advancement.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Reliable personal transportation and a valid driver's license.
A caring attitude toward elderly people and individuals with disabilities.
Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with evening wind-down routines, companion care, bedtime preparation, and overnight support.
Provide compassionate, attentive, patient, non-medical care tailored to each client's needs.
Help clients maintain their independence and quality of life.
Maintain reliable communication with the administrative team.
