About The Position

KWA Kitsap County is a nonprofit multicultural social service agency. In-Home Caregivers support clients in Kitsap County, including Bremerton, Silverdale, and Port Orchard, by providing safe, respectful care that helps them remain independent at home. This entry-level direct care role is described as suitable for someone starting a healthcare career. Caregivers provide personal care, companionship, and light household support, follow each client’s care plan, and document services as required. They may also provide respite care when scheduled. Work is one-on-one in clients’ homes, with schedules that may fit weekdays or other available times. Caregivers travel to clients’ homes and may be matched with a client to reach preferred hours. Pay ranges from $23.54 to $27.28 per hour, with starting wages, regular raises, and experience bonus options. The employer offers fully funded Home Care Aide certification training and paid learning.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Have a valid Washington State driver’s license, a reliable vehicle, and active auto insurance.
Pass a criminal background screening and reference check.
Commit to obtaining Home Care Aide certification within the required timelines.

Responsibilities

Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) and routine personal care.
Provide companionship and light household support.
Provide respite care when scheduled.
Follow each client’s care plan.
Document services as required.
Travel to clients’ homes in Kitsap County.
