About The Position

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a caring, compassionate Caregiver to provide services to clients in their homes in the local area. Caregivers help clients remain independent and safe at home by providing personal care, assistance with daily activities, meal preparation, housekeeping, errands, transportation, and companionship. Prior experience is not required. The agency provides paid in-office initial training and ongoing training. Compensation is $15.00–$20.00 per hour, based on certifications and experience, with flexible scheduling and daily pay available.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver's license.
• Reliable transportation.
• Must pass a background check in accordance with state requirements.
• Must pass a drug screen in accordance with state requirements.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patient information.
• Assist with meal preparation, serving meals, cleaning meal preparation areas, and eating as needed and applicable.
• Assist with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, denture care, and skin care.
• Perform light housekeeping, including sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, taking out trash, dusting, cleaning the refrigerator, and washing and putting away dishes.
• Complete laundry tasks, including washing, drying, folding, and putting away laundry; use a laundromat when needed.
• Assist with errands such as grocery shopping, picking up medical supplies or prescriptions, and going to the post office.
• Assist with activities of daily living, shopping, transportation, and telehealth visits.
• Provide companionship.
• Be reliable, dependable, and punctual, with rare absences.
