About The Position

The ProShop ERP Implementation Project Manager is a client-facing role responsible for managing new customer implementations from post-sale kickoff through go-live. The Project Manager is the primary point of contact for machine shop clients and manages multiple implementations simultaneously, combining project management discipline, manufacturing process knowledge, strong communication skills, and hands-on expertise with ProShop ERP’s data model, configuration logic, and module interdependencies. The role includes regular travel to client sites, estimated at 25–40%. The candidate must be located in the United States or Canada, excluding California, Quebec, and Manitoba; the posting also states that candidates in New York are not being pursued. The role leads discovery, translates production requirements into a configured ERP solution, personally builds and tests workflows, fields, and automations, and independently troubleshoots implementation issues. It also leads organizational change, manages project risks, supports product escalations, validates system readiness for training, maintains project documentation, and contributes to improvements in implementation methods and tools.

  • Demonstrated hands-on experience configuring or administering complex business software such as an ERP, MES, or comparable multi-module platform, including workflows, fields, and automations; this is in addition to project management experience.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites for key project phases, estimated at 25–40%.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex ideas, facilitate meetings, and build rapport with diverse audiences.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities and keen attention to detail, especially regarding complex manufacturing workflows.
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

  • Serve as the main liaison between clients and internal teams, building collaborative relationships and managing expectations throughout deployment.
  • Lead change initiatives by articulating a vision and benefits for the ERP, aligning stakeholders, and developing action plans with steps, timelines, and responsibilities.
  • Conduct discovery and requirements-gathering sessions covering machine shop workflows, including quoting, job costing, production scheduling, inventory, QMS, tool management, and compliance standards.
  • Identify product-fit issues during discovery and propose viable configuration solutions.
  • Personally configure ProShop ERP modules, build and test workflows, fields, and automations, and map client production processes to the system.
  • Identify, track, and mitigate risks and issues related to legacy-system data migration, process changes, and shop-floor user adoption; develop contingency plans.
  • Own technical triage of escalated issues, determine whether they stem from configuration gaps, data issues, or product limitations, and route them appropriately.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert on ProShop ERP configuration; distinguish configuration needs from product enhancement requests and provide Product and Engineering with a clear technical case for enhancements.
  • Validate the configured system against client requirements and confirm it is ready for training.
