About The Position

Q2 is seeking an Implementation Engineer to lead the technical build and delivery of its Centrix Risk & Fraud Management solutions. This hands-on, client-facing role configures and architects integrations between Q2 platforms and external systems, including online banking applications, core processing systems, and third-party services, often in Azure-hosted environments. The engineer serves as the Centrix product expert for each project, learning how clients operate, recommending best practices, and helping clients understand what is required on their side to go live. The role works directly with clients, Project Managers, and cross-functional partners in Sales, Product, Engineering, and Hosting. It uses Salesforce to manage and track cases and implementation status, and requires translating technical details into actionable information for clients and project partners. The engineer is expected to own complex problems from discovery through go-live, build and troubleshoot solutions, and communicate confidently with clients.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in a related field and 5–7 years of experience.
  • Experience with Azure architecture, including working in and troubleshooting cloud-hosted environments.
  • Working experience with Salesforce, particularly case management.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to translate technical details into actionable terms for non-technical stakeholders or clients.
  • A detail-oriented, process-driven approach and comfort owning quality checkpoints.
  • Ability to work as a disciplined self-starter and independently manage multiple concurrent client implementations.
  • Comfort working directly with clients, fielding questions, and managing expectations during live projects.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Understanding of database design and TSQL query language as related to enterprise software configuration, installation, and debugging.
  • Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail, exceptional follow-through, and the ability to prioritize, stay organized, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong people and teamwork skills, with ownership of activities and a focus on successful completion.
  • Fluent written and oral communication in English.
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.; Q2 is unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship of an employment visa at this time.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with clients and internal project teams to translate business requirements into technical configuration and integration plans.
  • Design, build, and test connections and integrations between Q2’s Centrix solutions and external systems, including digital banking platforms and other third-party applications.
  • Configure, deploy, and troubleshoot client environments within Azure-hosted architecture.
  • Perform hands-on configuration and technical tasks required for each client implementation.
  • Manage and update cases in Salesforce and keep internal and external stakeholders informed.
  • Independently solve routine-to-complex technical issues, escalating only when necessary.
  • Build working relationships across Development, Product, and Delivery to unblock client work and drive cross-functional buy-in.
  • Create tools, scripts, or process improvements that improve quality, security, and delivery speed across the team.
  • Track and report implementation status against timeline and scope.
  • Uphold Q2’s security, availability, confidentiality, and privacy policies and controls throughout each engagement.
